| wow it's been quite a while since i've updated anything on here.
well for a variety of reasons i'm finally getting around to upgrading some stuff on this box. in a few weekends from now i'm going to take m0nkey offline to install new hard drives (2x1TB FTW!) and a new OS and move everything from here onto the new setup. god i hope it works. i'm also adding a USB backup drive since that is also sorely needed in case the whole thing takes a nosedive.
oh and i'm going to get back into the habit of posting stuff on here. YAY OMG WIN!@#@!!!

| so m0nkey is back up. it looks like comcast changed my IP address. that was an easy fix, and i finally set up my router to auto update my DNS server on changes.
now the bad news.
the server for m0nkey bit it. i'm not sure what's wrong but it won't POST. i tried a few things and it seems like the power supply is having issues since it didnt always want to power up but it could also be a memory issue, CPU issue, or motherboard issue.
the good news is i had another compter laying around which i was able to throw m0nkey's hard drives and RAID controller into and it booted up so it's now running again.
this box is a lot newer and more kick ass and i'm tempted to give m0nkey and upgrade of RAID and hard drives to a SATA set up. we'll see if i really want to shell out the $ for that.
anyway m0nkey is back up for now. i also need to update some system software too. the fun never stops!
update looks like the power supply on the old server was having issues and finally fizzled out. it appears that around 9pm last night it started losing power before it would regain it, the computer would restart and get halfway through booting before dying again. i'm sure that's not's good for hard drives.

| i've been too focused on other stuff. i'll try to start adding stuff back on here on a more regular basis. i miss trying to entertain all 3 of you all. <3

it should be back online. if it is you're seeing this. if not you're getting a timeout error. then i guess it really doesn't matter since you can't see this.

| in a few weeks m0nkey will be down for a few days as i move from "ye olde m0nkeyhaus" to the new hotness m0nkeyhaus. not sure when comcast-is-the-devil-co will get thier lazy asses to the new place, but shortly after they get there teh m0nkey will be back in full effectz.
hopefully i'll be able to keep mail up but everything else will be taking a little nap.

Why? Because that's the day that the m0nkey.org submitted image gallery came back online.
Yes you read that title right, the submitted photos are back!
I figured out a way to auto dump them onto the image server for fun and profit so m0nkey can properly run again. Yay! So start uploading pics and enjoy the new and improved image server with much better speeds then before.
Also feel free to continue to post links to images in the forums as well. The more boobies the better right?
Ok, I'm getting back to tweaking the 83642647 other things I need to fix on this site now.
